Message from Our President

Welcome to the Rotary Club of Monterey!

The Rotary Club of Monterey is the oldest and largest Rotary Club on the Monterey Peninsula. Since our founding in 1924, the Rotary Club of Monterey has been a place where community leaders gather to have fun, explore new ideas and work together to address challenging issues. We are committed to the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self.”

Our club takes a special interest in the welfare of youth and children. Monterey Rotarians give of their time and talent mentoring local middle school and college students. We also award scholarships for students and teachers in Monterey, sponsor a short-term exchange of high school students with our sister club in Nanao, Japan and support a project to train school teachers in Haiti. We contribute to the global effort to eradicate polio and support over a dozen local charitable organizations.

Please explore our website to learn more about our club and its activities. The Rotary International website will provide additional information about the global Rotary organization. With close to 1.3 million members in over 200 countries and territories, Rotary International is committed to making a difference in our world.
